- 1 head lettuce, cut into quarters leaving the core in place
- 1 pt strawberries, cleaned
- 4 oz goat cheese, anything from fresh chevre to a crotin
- balsamic vinegar
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
- Heat grill to medium hot
- Wash and dry the cut lettuce
- Drizzle the lettuce with olive oil, salt and pepper
- Place on grill, cut side down, and cook until the leaves are frilly and charred and the inside is slightly tender
- Flip and char the outside leaves
- Remove from grill and place on a large plate with the cut side up.
- Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and serve with the goat cheese and strawberries
